Tapping Thursday: Unihopper w/ Green Bullet
We like it. We hope you do too...
We use locally grown wheat in Ojo Blanco (June-September) and Half Moon (October-January), New Mexico grown Blue Corn in Saison Blue (February-May). We use these regional ingredients to help tie these seasonally available offerings to the place they're made and the time of year they're available.
Our current Seasonal release is Ojo Blanco.
Some are brewed annually. Fewer still make an appearance more than once per year. Most are one-off batches that may never return. Our Specialty Release beers are brewed (mostly) in single batches, and never last long.
Our newest specialty release is Unihopper w/ Green Bullet. Each time we brew the Unihopper, we use the same sturdy pale ale base as a launchpad to showcase an individual hop variety. Our most recent Unihopper series release features Green Bullet hops. Green Bullet is a New Zealand grown variety, known for a complex, distinctive aroma and flavor—with notes of pine, and lime peel.
BEER FOR HERE
At its best, draft beer is simple, social, and delicious. Good draft beer will always be served in a clean, style appropriate glass through clean draft lines. Visit our taproom to see what we mean.
Cask-conditioned ale is usually served around 45-55 degrees, with lower carbonation than other draft beer. This opens up the flavors and aroma that are locked deep inside ice-cold beer.

Get your Dragoon fix throughout the Tucson and Phoenix market, in over 200 bars and restaurants.
Dragoon IPA is available in cans in about 30 retail stores in the Tucson area. Check the locator to find one close by. Cans are the best package available for beer stability: no oxygen + no light = fresh beer!
CROWLER & GROWLER
Growlers and Crowlers are great options for trying beer that is normally only available on draft. Since they are filled right in front of you, you know they are fresh, but should be consumed ASAP to keep 'em that way.
We offer most of the beer we produce in 15.5 and 5.16 gallon kegs. Talk to our taproom staff about pricing and availablity. If you need tapping equipment, we can usually help you out with that too.
Dragoon Brewing Company's origins go back to the mid-90's, when company founder Bruce Greene brewed his first batch of beer in his kitchen. Right then he decided to start saving to open his own brewery. Within 10 years, his son Eric had been bitten by the brewing bug, become a BJCP certified beer judge, and wandered off to Vermont to study at the American Brewer's Guild. In 2009, the Tucson Homebrew Club brought father & son together with Tristan White--a like-minded home brewer and craft beer evangelist who'd been entertaining similar fantasies. After working together on a few creative brew sessions, the beginnings of a brewery began to percolate.
In 2011, the three founded Dragoon Brewing Company with a simple idea in mind: that in sharing a creative endeavor with another person, you can't help but share a bit of yourself. For Dragoon, that endeavor is beer, and we're proud of the passion, integrity, and soul that we pour into every pint. In April of 2012, Dragoon opened as a self-distributing draft-only brewery featuring just 2 beers on tap: Dragoon IPA, and Stronghold Session Ale.
Since those early days, Dragoon has grown from a team of 3 to a family of more than 15 by focusing on quality as a measure of success. We usually brew about 30 different beers throughout the year, with 11 options on tap at any time. You can rest assured that our beer doesn't leave the back of the house unless it meets our strict standards, and that quality control doesn't end when the beer leaves our sight. We're here to produce beer we can be proud of, and to share it with our community.
